Al Farouq Factory at Darwah [Dora] in the Northwest outskirts of Baghdad produced locally manufactured transporter/launchers for the long-range missile program. The site was completely destroyed during the Gulf War. The site was part of Project 144/5 (Farooq project) for the production of Al Hussein class missiles. No actions were taken by UNSCOM to destroy the infrastructure, which remained under UNSCOM monitoring. It was converted to a facility for non-proscribed missile activities.
